The Current Democratic Primary Map
With 32 of the 50 states down and 18 to go, here’s a look at how the races have gone in the race for the Democratic nomination so far. States carried by Barack Obama are in light blue, Hillary Clinton in dark blue …

Barack Obama has won 19 states to Hillary Clinton’s 12, with Michigan and Florida awarding no delegates due to penalties levied by the DNC. New Mexico, which voted Super Tuesday, is still trying to figure out who won.
States yet to hold primaries appear in gray. Virginia, D.C. and Maryland will vote today, with Hawaii and Washington next on February 19. Texas and Ohio and their many delegates are up for grabs March 4.
Heading into today’s Potomac primary, Obama has posted a string of decisive wins, especially in caucuses. However, given the big populations in states Clinton has carried, and her edge in superdelegates, it’s a dead heat.
Today’s primaries are critical as Barack Obama looks to build real momentum and establish himself as the candidate to beat going forward.
