Upper Deck Pulls Hillary Clinton Baseball Card
Upper Deck’s “Presidential Predictors” baseball card set was recently released, but lacked one of the three prominent White House contenders.
That’s right, the Hillary Clinton card was nixed from the set.
Why? The Former First Lady - depicted as Morganna the Kissing Bandit from the ’70s and ’80s - was deemed too offensive by the powers that be.
“There was some concern by some of the people involved that it might be offensive,” said an Upper Deck spokesperson in a statement.
The image in question was leaked, however. Check out Hillary Clinton laying a kiss on an unsuspecting member of the Phillies (Reds?) …
A few cards have gotten out, and at least one sold on eBay for more that $2,400, proving that some people have far too much money.
Upper Deck has said that it will be releasing a new, hopefully less offensive version of the Hillary Clinton card in Series II.
No idea what that will look like, but we hope the set features John McCain in a Brooklyn Dodgers uniform. He probably remembers those days!
