One Hand Clapping For Clinton

To paraphrase the old philosophical quandary: If Hillary Clinton wins a primary by 35 percent, but the results mean nothing, does a superdelegate care?

There’s no denying that the former First Lady has posted some impressive wins lately. What she lacks is a way to make them serve any purpose.

Her wins in Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, West Virginia and Kentucky in the last few weeks have been well documented. As has the fact that she is still doing better than rival Barack Obama among white voters.

But with Obama nearing the finish line of 2,025 delegates, and with Clinton’s argument that she leads the popular vote hinging on the flimsiest of math, what would possibly cause superdelegates to vote for her now?

Out of Options

Two weeks ago, Clinton edged Obama in a very competitive Indiana primary. He blew her out of the water in North Carolina the same night, surpassing the party’s expectations even though he failed to win both races.

Last week, Clinton won the West Virginia primary by a staggering 41 percent. Yet Obama was the one who picked up 22 superdelegates - not to mention the endorsement of John Edwards - to Clinton’s four in the week since.

Clinton won the Kentucky primary by 35 percent Tuesday, but Obama won Oregon by 18 percent - and clinched a majority of pledged delegates.

Hillary continues to say she’s the more electable of the two Dems, yet in national polls, Obama leads John McCain by a slightly bigger margin - as much as eight percent, as per a new Reuters/Zogby poll released Wednesday.

Hillary’s victories may be impressive, but they carry no weight.

When your campaign hits that stage, it’s time for it to end
.

After five contentious months of primaries and a year of campaigning before that, America finally sees what Barack Obama sees: a narrow, but well-earned pledged delegate victory that will not be overturned by superdelegates.

It’s over.

Watching the raise of Obama has been one of the most frightening events of my adult life. This must be what it was like to watch the raise of Hitler in pre World War II Germany. A stage show politician with a serious chip on his shoulder raising to power while feeding the blind grasping masses with empty promises. America wake-up! Obama is Malcom X in sheeps clothing - he has a hidden agenda that occasionally reveals itself. In this case Obama hates America and everything it stands for because he suffers from the syndrome of a bitter black politician with a serious chip on his shoulder. The blind hopeless masses keep looking away from that in hopes for some pie in the sky unrealistic “change.” Just like the change Hitler promised - Obama’s agenda for change will only fully reveal itself if he takes control of the country. Everything Obama has proposed including his approach to interactions with Cuba and Iran are tainted by his dislike for America. In the end it will only severely weaken America.

Such remarks say it all! In any democratic country, I have not seen or heard anything more blunt than this statement–A candidate winning by 35% means nothing because so-called super-delegates do give a dime about it. In other words, the nomination process for the democratic party seems to be a machine–Once a candidate is picked, it doesn’t matter what voters do with their votes.

Is Obama nears the finish line? No so fast! With remaining three states (PR: 55 seats, MT: 16 and SD: 15), assuming MI and FL votes are not recast or counted, Obama needs to win all three states in order to get to the finish line. That is, not until June 3rd, no one knows who the nominee will be. And yet, the democratic party already calling Hillary Clinton to quit as least since March. If it is not enough, let’s hear Obama’s camp on how to “unite” the party–Calling Hillary Clinton to ask her supporters to vote for Obama (another political machine in action by Obama’s camp!!!) Obviously, Obama is incapable of winning over Hillary Clinton’s supporters even though the media claim that both candidates have not much difference in their campaign proposals.

All that inconsistencies coming from democratic party’s favoring Obama as the nominee points to sexism. Indeed, this DNC primary race could be sexism at its peak.

Just a note to the DNC: I am an independent voter, and will not vote for Obama this year. In fact, I will vote for a republican for the first time in my voting life in contempt of your machine operation.

I first heard about Clintons attempt at changing the delegate math at http://www.whitewidowreport.com Senator Clinton is a Great politician and I applaud her for her efforts. But attempting to push the argument that the delegate math has changed prior to the rules committee convening on May 31st is a bit of a stretch. Even with Michigan and Florida seated she still loses. Its time to let it go…

    Dream Ticket?

Voting for the IRAQ WAR, then refusing to apologize for it; 20 to 30 million supporters

Playing the “RACE CARD”, then refusing to reject race-based votes; 95% of African American voters

Making shell-shocked decisions after suffering heavy Bosnian sniper-fire; A campaign debt approaching $50 million dollars

Destroying the Democratic Party with scorched-earth politics; a once glorious legacy TRASHED

The expression on Hillary Clinton’s face after conceding on June 4th; Priceless!
