Not Too Important?

With each passing day, Sen. John McCain furthers abandons his “maverick” persona and becomes more like the least popular president in U.S. history.

That’s fine with us, if it ends in his resounding defeat.

The Republican nominee was asked yesterday by Today host Matt Lauer if he had an estimated date for U.S. troops to begin returning home from Iraq.

McCain’s response:

Whatever John McCain’s message is (click here for his full interview with Lauer) in all of this, he’s not doing a terrific job of proving he’s the one who’s in touch with our troops and our national security needs.

Not to mention our economy, environment, civil liberties, and so on.

This isn’t his “100 years” remark, either, which was taken somewhat out of context. This is quite straightforward - and our soldiers and their families would probably take issue with McCain’s assertion that it’s not too important.

    Oh and
McCain spent his boyhood in exclusive boarding schools where staffers were paid to put up with his tirades. We all did some immature things before we matured. But with McCain, the tirades continue today.
Had he not been the son and grandson of admirals, there is scant chance he would have been admitted to the U.S. Naval Academy. Given his behavior patterns and academics, had he not been the son and grandson of admirals, there is little doubt he would have been thrown out. Instead, in 1958 he managed to graduate 894 out of 899. Had he not been the son and grandson of admirals, he is no chance he would have been accepted into the prestigious naval flight training program over far better qualified officers. On his way to becoming a North Vietnamese ace, the aviator lost 3 expensive aircraft on routine, non-combat flights. Little was made of all that, because he was, you know, the son and grandson of admirals.

McCain’s most horrendous loss occurred in 1967 on the USS Forrestal. Well, not horrendous for him. The starter motor switch on the A4E Skyhawk allowed fuel to pool in the engine. When the aircraft was “wet-started,” an impressive flame would shoot from the tail. It was one of the ways young hot-shots got their jollies. Investigators and survivors took the position that McCain deliberately wet-started to harass the F4 pilot directly behind him. The cook off launched an M34 Zuni rocket that tore through the Skyhawk’s fuel tank, released a thousand pound bomb, and ignited a fire that killed the pilot plus 167 men. Before the tally of dead and dying was complete, the son and grandson of admirals had been transferred to the USS Oriskany.

As a rising naval officer, McCain was surrounded by rumors of numerous adulterous affairs, such as used to be called “conduct unbecoming an officer.” Author and biographer Robert Timberg has detailed several of McCain’s sexual relationships with subordinates when serving as a Squadron Leader and an Executive Officer. I think we all know such behavior is a clear violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, in other words, a crime.

When McCain’s application to the National War College was rejected, according to noted author and researcher Joel Skousen, he whined to daddy who pulled strings with the Secretary of the Navy. I ask you is this type of person you want as Commander-In-Chief, I don’t think so.

  2. SHARE THE WEALTH Says:

HE DON’T WANT TO REDISTIBUTE THE WEALTH, BUT HE WANTS AMERICANS TO HAVE MORE MONEY IN THEIR POCKETS. HOW IS THAT GOING TO BE POSSIBLE IF YOU DON’T SHARE THE WEALTH. THE RICH DON’T NEEDS THE BREAKS RIGHT NOW THE WORKING CLASS DOES.
Myth: A capital gains tax cut will help the little guy.

Fact: Only 1 percent of all taxpayers claim two-thirds of all capital gains.

Only 7 percent of all taxpayers report capital gains in any given year, and over two-thirds of the gains reported went to people making over $100,000 a year. Although it’s true that most Americans own capital assets (like homes or businesses), they sell them only a few times in their life. The rich, on the other hand, make most of their annual income in capital gains, and deal in them constantly. That is why a capital gains tax cut would overwhelmingly benefit the rich.

this is why we need to leave iraq
John McCain has no Idea what the Iraq war is doing to our national defense
Why is it that the national guard troops spending the most time in Iraq are comming from the following states:
WV, KY, SC, Mississippi, Alabama, SD,WV
UTAH, Iowa. You need to ask your state government and the president of the United states and John McCain what states have the most people dying in the war in Iraq and find out why and he wants to keep those troops there indefinently.

If Barak Obama does become president I would hope that he will bring back the post war General of the Army . Who was not afraid to tell the truth about the situation the army was in. Instead of the baby mouth yes sir everything is ok . Im running things in Iraq from my cozy lil base in Flordia General or inside the Always Secure Greenzone where I set back everynight and have a cigar and a drink with the enemy Panzies we have today.
Patton would cut his own throat if he saw the panzies we have running the military today.

  5. Think before you VOTE Says:

I feel your pain our Government is embarrassing. Bush and Chaney has broken every law on our books and still no jail or impeachment. I say it is time to make them all accountable. McCain from what I have read on his history this man has no practicum no wonder he feel like our children can stay in Iraq. Where is his son from what I have read he is at HOME. How McCain wants these town hall debates what I do not understand is How are people coming from up to 400 miles away to hear what Obama has to say weather they agree or not going to fit in a small town hall? So small town hall occupy level will not hold these people. How are they going to be included in the debates or do they matter? McCain wants for use to feel that he is being pegged as old. Which is not clear why (give the man a dictionary please) delusion, confused, does not mean old. I am not sure if he loony or just don’t know what he is talking about all of the time since he is always miss quoting him and the facts.

Why is the media so one sided. I notice that you never hear about McCain wife and her being a TEATCH and a DRUG ADDICIT. She admitted to this herself. Now America looks bad enough around that world the last thing we need is a DRUG Addict and a loony man treating war with the world roaming the WHITE HOUSE lawn.

As a white America I too am proud of America I never though that our children would come out like they have to VOTE. I may never see anyone rule America but white America. But the jester means a lot to a woman that has lived with uncle’s talk about crimes against people. That was born with a different color skin.

Just maybe there is a chance for Democracy…
