Tim Russert was the Washington Bureau Chief for NBC News. He was also the moderator on Meet the Press. Sadly, Russert died of a heart attack on June 13, 2008.
Tim Russert also co-hosted the network's presidential Election Night coverage. He presented the polling results of the NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey on the NBC Nightly News alongside the anchor of the show. Early in 2008, he moderated a debate during the Democratic Primary between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
