Hillary’s Bosnia Trip: New Footage Uncovered!

We take back what we said about Hillary Clinton.

When we called her a duplicitous liar over the whole Bosnian sniper-fire story, we had no idea footage existed proving her claims.

We had no idea, and sincerely apologize.

The Dish encourages all voters to view this graphic, never-before-seen footage from Hillary Clinton’s now-infamous trip to Bosnia in the ’90s as First Lady.

Turns out she did encounter sniper fire and a whole lot more. Fortunately, HRC avoided RPGs, IEDs and even took out at least one terrorist herself…

Barack Obama & Hillary Clinton: There Can Be Only One

Politicians are known for talking out of both sides of their mouths, and the 2008 race for the Democratic presidential nomination has exemplified this - especially lately. See this terrific SNL campaign parody below …

“I deserve it.”

John McCain Touts Age, Fiscal Responsibility on SNL

John McCain is so old!

We’re not making fun of the Arizona Senator for kicks - he said this personally, at least a dozen times, on Saturday Night Live.

John McCain himself appeared on the show last night and delivered an address touting his age and record of fiscal responsibility.

Pretty funny.

So wary of runaway, pork-barrel government spending is Sen. John McCain that 15 percent of Arizonans must now get their drinking water from cactus!

Mike Huckabee Jokes About Shooting Barack Obama

Love him or hate him, Mike Huckabee’s sense of humor offered a welcome reprieve to the cutthroat political campaigning this winter.

He may have missed the mark with this attempt, though.

The former Republican presidential candidate was speaking Friday to the NRA, when there was an unexpected loud bang backstage.

Instead of continuing his speech about limited government, he quipped that someone had fired at Barack Obama, who had to hit the deck.

*Crickets*

Mike Huckabee later apologized for his “offhand remark,” saying it was not “intended to offend or disparage” Sen. Obama, who did not comment.

Mike Huckabee: What’s funnier than killing a U.S. Senator?!

Obama Girl: Crushing on Mike Gravel!

He may be on the cusp of securing the Democratic nomination for President, but Barack Obama is having trouble convincing one voter… and one whose support you’d think he would have locked up long ago.

It looks as if Amber Lee Ettinger, also known as “Obama Girl” and quasi-famous for her YouTube videos supporting the Illinois Senator, may be ready to give her support - and body - to another Democratic contender.

If you can call Mike Gravel that. Is he technically still running? Watch the clip below to find out what the former Alaska Senator is made of…

Hilarious. Donkey Dish would like to wish Mike Gravel the best of luck as he continues pushing for direct democracy - and a happy 78th birthday today!

John McCain Momentarily Forgets Party Affiliation

Just kidding. He didn’t make one of his Iran-style missteps.

But when a Republican campaigns on an environmental issue, it makes news. To that effect, John McCain signaled a split with both the Bush administration and environmentalists in a major global warming speech today.

The Arizona Senator and presidential nominee declares climate change undeniable and urgent, saying that the U.S. hasn’t acted quickly enough.

George W. Bush famously refused to sign the Kyoto global warming accord. McCain pledges to return America to international negotiations.

In the new campaign ad below, which he will begin airing this week, McCain places himself between what he describes as two warring factions on climate change. He paints it not only as an environmental issue, but a national security problem.

John McCain says he would set limits on greenhouse gases and allow the sale of rights of excess emissions - known as a cap and trade system.

Vintage Bill O’Reilly

Ah, Bill O’Reilly. Whether he’s bragging about how much money he makes each year or letting Hillary Clinton emasculate him on national TV, this is a man who never shies away from controversy.

Or from being a complete blowhard.

Just the same, this old school, behind-the-scenes clip from Bill’s days on Inside Edition is frightening (and hilarious) even by his high (low) standards.

Apparently some poor sap was screwing up on the teleprompter. Bill O’Reilly goes through several takes, then absolutely loses his $h!t.

WARNING: Clip of ass clown may contain profanity and induce laughter.

Classic Bill O’Reilly: More hair, same temper.

If you missed “tough guy” Bill’s recent interview with Hillary Clinton, you can watch Hill rough his punk a$$ up here in parts I and II.

Barack Obama & Hillary Clinton: May 6 Speeches

Is it game over? It certainly feels a little more like it watching Sen. Barack Obama address a crowd in Raleigh, N.C., on May 6, the night of the crucial Democratic primaries held in both Indiana and North Carolina.

Here’s Obama’s address to the Raleigh crowd …

Obama won North Carolina comfortably. Hundreds of miles away, vowing to soldier on, Sen. Hillary Clinton addressed supporters after an apparent victory in Indiana. She withstood a late surge to win the Hoosier State.

Both Democratic candidates stuck to their campaigns’ central themes - experience vs. change - and made some subtle overtures to the other, while also looking ahead to future primaries and to beating John McCain.

Follow the jump for both parts of Hillary’s speech …

CNN Smackdown: Eggheads & African-Americans

Ding, ding! Democratic insiders and CNN contributors Paul Begala and Donna Brazile went at it May 6, the night of the North Carolina and Indiana primaries.

Brazile, a Barack Obama supporter, took issue in particular with a remark by Begala - a Clintonite - that Obama needs to build more than just a coalition of “eggheads and African-Americans,” a.k.a. the Michael Dukakis vote.

Not sure why it’s so addicting to watch talking heads debate the same things for months on end, but watch Donna Brazile - the manager of Al Gore’s campaign for the White House in 2000 - lay the smack down on Begala…
